I long for you for a number of reasons but the gist of it is I kind of feel that you’d bring me a different kind of joy this time — something that I haven’t felt for a long long time. You know the last time you came wasn’t really the best memory. I had my first Christmas away from my nuclear family and it did hurt. Now, I’m more adjusted and I’m in this phase in my life where I’ve started to understand why loneliness and all that crap have to happen in exchange for something good in the future. I just hope that you won’t disappoint me this time. I have a really good feeling that you’re keeping a surprise for me and it’s something really beautiful. Please do not disappoint.
What do I look forward to the most:
1. Christmas Congress. My Christmas party with my super duper fun college friends. It’s actually the first time that we’re having a sleepover for a Christmas celebration. I’m so excited!
2. My uncle and his family are coming home from the States. It’s good news cause grandmommy and I will spend a different and exciting New Year’s Day! :)
I’m also ecstatic with the idea of them bearing gifts! Black Friday happened, right? Well I sent my mom my wishlist and she gladly said yes to all of it. It was really a long time ago when I last opened presents. Oh the anticipation for this kind of excitement! It fills my heart. <3
3. Starbucks 2012 Planner. Cross my fingers, I’ll complete my sticker book. Currently, I’m 11 stickers short. But I’m optimistic cause December hasn’t even started yet. My goal is to finish it before Christmas day, so that I can start writing on it before the New Year comes. I have these ritual of making a list and review of what the outgoing year has turned my life into.
Well, I don’t think it’s overrated to spend that much and really make an effort just to have the Starbucks planner, cause 1) it’s for a good cause, 2) I enjoy having a challenge by collecting all stickers needed, and 3) I love drinking toffee nut frappe that Starbucks only offer once in every year. It’s not really a lost cause. It’s going to be my second Starbucks planner if ever. So wish me luck in this endeavor.
4. Christmas shopping and binging! Oh the things I love about Christmas! Buying a new outfit, gifts for friends and loved ones, and having a really good noche buena! :) I can’t wait to have sweet ham for Christmas eve!
5. Christmas mass. I always look forward to this activity with a fervent passion. It’s that time I thank Him for coming around and showering me with all the blessings — of love, happiness, and peace & family and friends.
6. A break from school!!! Self-explanatory
So please, I ask of you to enlighten my last month of 2011. Give me a month I finally deserve. :) I open-heartedly receive you this week.
With a warm hug,
xx Charmaine
