a.k.a “the best friend”

- The Notebook

- Crazy Stupid Love
Ryan Gosling is charming and really magnetic. To me, he is perfectly imperfect. That’s why I’d prefer him to do the dark, broken, with really emotional roles, because I was used to him doing those character types. At first, I didn’t want to watch Crazy Stupid Love since him being a boytoy and getting all cocky was really hard to imagine. But after seeing the movie I realized I judged too early. It’s got to be one of my favorite movies.
He’s a bit like James Franco to me, but leaves a different impression. I’m really having a hard time explaining this, but here it goes: If he were really a friend of mine, I will make all possible ways to be(st)friend him because
- He is funny and interesting and the way he looks and smiles after seeing other people smile fascinates me (I’ve seen it in Ellen and well in his other movies too)
- He knows how to keep in touch with the serious side of life, like I’ve said he’s got this image that is easy to talk to so if we were best friends I’d be glad to talk and open up my skeleton-filled closet to him and
- In Crazy Stupid Love where he manifests his really drop-dead gorgeous body, I don’t mind being his fuck buddy. haha! But still, Ryan Gosling need not the photoshopped-looking abs to take my heart and fly it away to paradise. *wink
SOME FACTS AND RAMBLINGS ABOUT HIM:
- Rachel McAdams is his soulmate and I don’t think he realizes it yet!! Let’s just watch and wait.
- One of the best videos I’ve seen in YouTube, which I repeated too many times yet still not enough is involving him and Rachel McAdams when they won Best Kiss of 2008/9 for the movie The Notebook in the MTV Awards here. It was like a requirement to relive that kiss, and they perfectly carried it out. Damn, why do they have to break up??
- There is an explanation to why he decided to star in a comedy movie. I read an article where he explained that his shrink or some kind of a doctor recommended him to do funny movies because sad, deep, and dark movies add to his depression. Now I see that it’s good for him. Well, I’ve realized that despite his funny character in Crazy Stupid Love, the character still begins from that broken side of the I’m-so-alone-I-need-an-avenue-to-release-this-sadness kind of man which he did pretty awesome.
- He is Canadian. Canadians impress me these days.
